Dave Nova.2009ImpalaThinBlueLine Discussion starter. 2 posts · Joined 2017. #1 · Mar 22, 2017. I have a 2009 Impala LT, 3.5L MFI FF, and I have a terrible knocking coming from my rear end. It sounds suspension related, but I have replaced my rear strut assemblies, sway bar links, and sway bar bushings in order to try and fix the noise, but nothing worked.Hi ,I just got a 2011 impala 2 months ago ,I put less then 500 miles on it ,when I'm in car and take a sharp left I have loud clunking noise and almost feels like slight hesitation,I too kk home and in driveway turn it all the way left and went back and forth just a bit and a loud clunking noise ,thoughts or need more info let me know,thanks. Like.Sounds like a bad blower-motor. Worn armature busing/bearing allowing the fan to knock against the housing. I suppose a malfunctioning blend door actuator could be cycling continuously and cause the sound too …. Just a guess …. Manipulate the fan speed controls, and the heater/cooling controls to see if either do those affect the knocking ...Christina answered 7 years ago. @sackingsgirl06 The actuator will make noise when the electrical system of the car is on (even if no air is flowing). This happens when you unlock the car with the key fob or open the car door. If it is on the right side, then you can access it right behind the glove box and replace it..
