Peggy, Look at the picture in post number 2 above. At the upper left of the picture the forward reverse lever is pointed out. Shift it into neutral with the engine stopped. It probably will not move with engine running. Odds are that you have a bad clutch. Deere still have not s9lved their Gator clutch problem. Solution: First, utilize a pressure gauge to check the fuel pressure. If the fuel pressure is regular, check the situation of the fuel injectors, pump, wires, and air filter. Change all the faulty fuel elements if required. 5. Fuel Pump Issue. This is another significant problem with a Gator 825i. Only owned it for a week and was curious if this is normal. When in gear and from a stop - it takes some rpm to get it to engage and when it does its a fairly decent jerk. Not very predictable. That obviously led me to belive clutch was sticking so I contacted the Doc and am planning to send him the clutch for rework.You can easily duplicate the JDG813-1 removal tool. Cut a 3" length of 1/2" un-threaded steel rod. Square off and de-burr the ends, but don't round them over.
