When I got it back and tried using it I had zero-zip-nada low-end throttle response. I mean below 2000 rpm it would not outpull a bicycle. BLACK ARROW - raise or lower float with a 5/8” wrench, (the screw is the lock and the 5/8” hex is the adjustment.) Clockwise lowers the fuel level, counter-clockwise raises the fuel level. Raise or Lower Float with a 5/8” wrench Set fuel level in middle of window with The Holleys with side-hung floats have a tendency to flood out on sidehills. This tendency would be exacerbated id the float's too high. You're probably much better off setting the float way low. Set the idle screws to best lean idle. Not much else to adjust if you put everything back the way it was.This is a simple and easy way to adjust a Holley 4150 or 4500 carb float. Have done mine this way for years. You can still adjust them, you just have to do it by bending the float arms like a number of other carburetors. If you ask me, you're missing nothing. When you adjust the floats you're mostly just trying to return them to the factory correct setting anyway..
