There’s nothing quite like a big fuck you one hander sword, a big shield, and a tiny bow that packs a huge punch to make horseback fighting viable at almost any distance. One thing I’ve noticed in bannerlord is 1 H swords get too big now, to the point they aren’t useful at very close range. That makes me sad. Thing is though, this custom weapon can be crafted in mass and doesn't require you to find it or have the gold for it. Also, in comparison, this custom weapon has -5 length, +1 swing speed, and +1 handling. It can have even more stats when the "master smith" perk triggers. Well, there is the long glaive but other than that, there's the war razor which is similar and the bent razor which is interesting because it only does swing damage (I hate doing a thrust attack when I meant to swing, probably just my incompetence but still it helps). What o mean is you become an unstoppable killing machine. Last battle I was facing some empire guys with lot of recruits. Killed about half their army in my own lol.I ended up with long glaive, long bardiche and short bardiche in my inventory. While you fighting foot troops you dont need long glaive to fight them. You can do with long bardiche.
