2024 98 mauser markings

The lack of markings still leaves me thinking it is a military rifle heavily modified into a sporting rifle. Otherwise, why remove the markings? However, the stock does not look like a modified military stock. So, all I can guess is a military 98 Mauser action set into a civilian stock, but more of a guess than a certainty..
